A Demon is Born
In 1887, a German science lab created a chemical compound that would revolutionize the way respiratory complications such as asthma, congestion and even the common cold; however, at the time of its creation, no one really knew this yet:
It was called Amphetamine.

Wasn ’t long before those who experienced the unique rush of speed and energy Benzedrine was providing had begun to find other unique ways of extracting the drug from its original packaging for recreational use and abuse. By removing the drug, creative drug users were then able to cook the methamphetamine back out using other chemicals like acid . By the late 1930 ’s, the abusive nature of the drug was quickly becoming apparent.
The Demon Comes of Age
Oddly enough, it was WWII that could have possibly created the largest methamphetamine abuse increase. Japanese, Germans and American soldiers and pilots were using the drug at an immense pace.
