The Speech
Three months after he assumed the office of President of the United States John F. Kennedy gave a speech to the American Newspaper Publishers Association at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City. In that speech Kennedy warned of a shadow government, a secret society of nameless, faceless people who directed the country under the cover of corrupt government officials. People whose only interest was for personal gain and not to serve the American people. People who would go to any lengths to make sure that their interests were protected.
Kennedy vowed to the pressmen gathered that his administration would be transparent and open to the press and he asked that they would aid him in exposing any group or any person who participated in any type of covert operation that was detrimental to the nation. Among others he said this shadow government included members of the military industrial complex. It was a bold speech and one that likely got him killed.
This shadow government or secret society was and is suspected of being responsible not only for his death but the deaths of Malcolm X, Martin Luther King and his brother Robert Kennedy. In addition it is suspected of being involved in the injection of drugs into minority neighborhoods as well as the spread of diseases like Aids and different strains of influenza and other diseases.
Although these assertions may seem far fetched to some, to many they have real meaning and credibility.
At the time the Cold War was at its peak and in the interest of national security many government operations were conducted covertly without public knowledge. As a result cliques of power were formed within various agencies like the CIA which were out of the control and knowledge of those who were supposed to be directing them. The end result was the formation of rogue elements within those organizations that acted on their own accord on behalf of the interest of financial backers who remained anonymous.
As strange as Kennedy’s speech may have sounded to Americans at the time there is no doubt there was merit to what he said.
A Violent Decade
The 1960’s was a very violent decade and especially so for national figures. No less than four major social/political figures of the time were cut down in the prime of their lives by gunfire.
Kennedy, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert Kennedy were all killed by assassin’s bullets within a five year span. To anyone leisurely looking at these occurrences they may seem unrelated but to those examining them keenly a common thread can be seen.
All four men were bold spokesmen who “bucked” the system.
Kennedy’s stance on civil rights, our presence in Vietnam and other pertinent issues made him a despised man in many circles. Those in the upper echelons of government who wanted war in Vietnam, who wanted war with Russia and to oust Cuban dictator Fidel Castro were furious with him and made no effort to hide their disgust.
Malcolm X’s hostile and militant position on the treatment of African Americans in the United States made him a hated and feared person among the general populace and government officials.
Martin Luther King’s campaign to gain equal rights for African Americans made him a source of constant irritation to those in high places who wanted to maintain the status quo.
Robert Kennedy’s harassment of organized crime when he was Attorney General of the United States and his later interest in improving the status of poor people in America (primarily African Americans) put him in a position to be disliked by those in the crime world and government officials who were opposed to his actions.
What do all these men have in common? They were all considered enemies of government agencies like the CIA and FBI. What does that mean? There were rogue elements within these organizations that would have no issue with eliminating these men and the problems that they created for them.
J. Edgar Hoover, the director of the FBI at that time, publicly declared his disgust and opposition to both Malcolm X and Martin Luther King. He also was no friend of John or Robert Kennedy. The CIA and FBI were known to follow and monitor Malcolm X in an effort to get whatever incriminating evidence that they could on him.
In short, all of these men were in effect, unpublicized enemies of the state and many Americans believe the state was partly or totally responsible for their demise.
Corruption In Government
Few people in the United States would want to believe their own government would perpetrate a deadly action against them. After all we decried Saddam Hussein for doing that very thing against his own people but that is exactly what the government of America did.
In the early 1930 ’s the U.S. Public Health Service, our government, conducted an experiment on rural African American sharecroppers in Alabama known as the Tuskegee Experiment where under the guise of receiving health care the participants were unknowingly injected with Syphilis to study the effects of the disease.
The premise of the experiment was to discern if African Americans reacted differently to the disease than other races. When the participants became ill they were simply told that they had “bad blood” and it was that condition not the injections that was making them sick.
In essence the unknowing participants were used as human guinea pigs in an experiment similar to those conducted by Adolph Hitler’s science butchers on unsuspecting Jewish concentration camp occupants during World War II.
To add insult to injury, even after penicillin was discovered to be an effective treatment for the disease researchers continued the experiment without administering the cure until a whistleblower who was a reporter for the New York Times exposed them in 1972.
Who would be initiate and support such a dastardly program? Certainly no legitimate government agency.
But if not then who?
Suspicions of 9/11
The shoddy investigation of the assassination of President John Kennedy raised a number of suspicions among the American people. A recent poll conducted by a major news organization showed 71% of Americans do not believe the Warren Commission Report that declares Lee Harvey Oswald as the lone assassin.
Those who have read the report or seen excerpts of it point out the glaring omission of evidence that points to more than one shooter. The commission’s unwillingness to include eyewitness testimony of an additional shooter or shooters along with the medical inaccuracies surrounding the injuries sustained by President Kennedy compelled many Americans to believe a government coverup was being conducted which overwhelmingly caused widespread mistrust of what they were told thereafter by government officials.
That mistrust could not be more evident than when the World Trade Centers were attacked on September 11, 2001.
In the aftermath speculation about the attack was prevalent with many Americans wondering how much of the story being told to them by the government was true. Although it was obvious that planes struck the Trade Centers the reports about planes hitting the Pentagon and crashing in Shankland, Pennsylvania were not as readily believed.
Even though there was damage to the Pentagon no significant airplane parts, luggage or bodies were found that would represent a 757 jumbo jet crashing into the building. No video footage showing the plane hitting the building could be produced either although dozens of video cameras are trained on the Pentagon 24 hours a day.
Likewise the lack of airplane wreckage in Shanksville raised suspicion as to whether a plane crashed there at all. Part of an engine was found almost a mile away from the crash sight but again no luggage, bodies or significant airplane parts were found.
Though it is true that people who were on those airplanes have never been seen again can we really believe what the government is telling us? A government that used some of its own citizens in a diabolical experiment? A government that has every indication of participating in the assassination of its own president?
Was President Kennedy right? Is there a shadow government operating in the background pulling the strings of the leaders who are visible to us?
No one can say for sure but without question some very suspicious things have happened since John F. Kennedy made that speech.
